The Minister for Europe with the longest tenure in the history of that position in the UK Government, Deputy British Prime Minister during Theresa May’s tenure and Chairman of the Royal United Services Institute Sir David Lidington commented on the current situation in the Western Balkans region, as well as regional and global issues, during his stay in Sarajevo. Lidington told N1 that the UK policy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina will not change regardless of the two political currents in that country being in power. Lidington also pointed out that the growth of radical political factors, both on the extreme right and left, is a concern. He touched upon the events in the Middle East, but also in Ukraine.
