
The remains of six victims of the past war have been identified at the city cemetery in Miljevici, municipality of Istocno Novo Sarajevo.

These are victims who went missing between 1992 and 1994 in the areas of Sokolac, Srebrenica, and Gorazde, and whose remains were exhumed years later from various locations.
The identities of the victims were confirmed through DNA analysis, after which their families officially verified the results, stated the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The identified victims are:
Dzemila (Salko) Kurtovic, born June 1, 1913, in Foca. She went missing in April 1992 at the Psychiatric Hospital Sokolac. Her remains were exhumed on November 6, 2013, at the hospital cemetery.
Hasan (Mulo) Suljic, born April 15, 1938, in Zenica. He went missing on July 28, 1992, at the Psychiatric Hospital Sokolac. His remains were exhumed on December 1, 2010, at the hospital cemetery.
Sefik (Nedzib) Pecikoza, born August 22, 1968, in Priboj. He went missing on December 1, 1994, at the Psychiatric Hospital Sokolac. His remains were found at two locations: part was exhumed on November 6, 2013, at the hospital cemetery in Sokolac, and the other part on July 22, 2013, at the city landfill Buca Potok in Sarajevo.
Vaso (Stevan) Paraca, born April 28, 1903, in Danilovgrad. He went missing on July 5, 1992, in Krnici, municipality of Srebrenica. His remains were exhumed on May 22, 2003, at the site of the burned cooperative building in Krnici.
Bozana (Djoko) Vukasinovic, born February 3, 1922, in Gorazde. She went missing on May 25, 1992, in Gornja Bukvica, municipality of Gorazde. Her remains were exhumed on September 17, 2002, at the site of a burned barn in Gornja Bukvica.
Milorad (Todor) Vukasinovic, born October 12, 1913, in Gornja Bukvica, municipality of Gorazde. He went missing on the same day as Bozana Vukasinovic, May 25, 1992. His remains were exhumed on July 8, 2002, at the site of a burned family house in Gornja Bukvica.
The Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues its work to locate and identify all individuals still listed as missing, providing closure to victims and their families after decades of searching.
