The vehicles were officially transferred to the Military Police of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) as part of the NATO Defence Capacity Building (DCB) Assistance Programme. Representatives from the Ministry of Defence of BiH and the Republic of Slovenia signed the handover record, confirming the technical delivery.
This project — titled Enhancing Military Police Capabilities within the L-INF-BG Unit — is the first of twelve NATO-backed initiatives aimed at strengthening Bosnia’s defence sector to reach completion. It was fully funded and implemented by Slovenia, underlining the country’s continued support for BiH’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
Officials from both defence ministries used the occasion to review the progress of the project and reaffirm their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.

"Slovenia has once again proven itself a trusted partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Zoran Sajinovic, Assistant Minister of Defence for International Cooperation. He added that further bilateral defence agreements are already in the works.
Bojan Pipenbaher, who led the Slovenian DCB project team, confirmed that Slovenia remains committed to ongoing support for the AFBiH Military Police, with continued assistance planned at the bilateral level.
Brigadier Haris Gazic, head of the AFBiH’s Structure and Organisation Department, expressed gratitude to all those involved in planning and executing the project, highlighting it as a model of effective cooperation under NATO’s framework.
According to the Ministry of Defence’s Public Affairs Office, the customised Land Cruisers are designed for a range of Military Police duties and can also be deployed in NATO-led peacekeeping missions abroad. Additionally, the vehicles are equipped to support civil authorities in domestic emergencies, such as natural disasters.
