In the last 24 hours, 14,650 PCR tests, performed for coronavirus in Slovenia, have revealed 9,945 new cases of the infection, Slovenia's authorities reported on Saturday.
Currently, Slovenia's seven-day incidence rate per 100,000 is 8,868 cases and the 14-day incidence rate has reached 4,836 cases, the Slovenian Institute of Public Health reported.
The COVID-related death toll has risen by eight cases to 5,751 fatalities.
Slovenia's authorities decided to shorten the self-isolation for most cases of infection to seven days provided that on the 7th day, patients test negative.
They justify the changes in the COVID protocols the most pragmatic solution.
