Slovenia resumes vaccinations with AstraZeneca
In the last 24 hours, there have been 937 new cases of coronavirus infection in Slovenia, and another 10 COVID patients have died, epidemiologist Mateja Logar told a news conference in Ljubljana on Friday.
Currently, there are 485 COVID patients in hospitals, including 88 in intensive care wards. Logar warned about the growing pressure on the hospitals which are again receiving more and more COVID patients aged above 55.
In the meantime, Slovenia has resumed administering AstraZeneca shots, and the country's top officials are expected to be inoculated with this vaccine on Friday afternoon.
Slovenia's current 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants is 488.
