Slovenia will propose that negotiations with BiH officially begin immediately, at the next European Council in December of this year.

"In the light of the war in Ukraine, the EU integration process should be treated primarily as a stabilization tool and an instrument for deterring the influence of foreign actors who are interested in hindering the European integration of BiH," Golob's proposal states.

On November 8, the European Commission gave a conditional green light to BiH for the opening of accession negotiations with the European Union. The report states that it is recommended to open negotiations when BiH fulfils the conditions that the EC gave earlier.
