Soreca: Film and culture connect people and create space for new ideas

Soreca said he had the opportunity to meet and talk with filmmakers, producers, creative professionals and journalists from across the Western Balkans.

"The Sarajevo Film Festival shows that film and culture are excellent ways of connecting people and inspiring new ideas and perspectives," Soreca said in a post on the social media platform X.

He stressed that strengthening partnerships and fostering connections are at the heart of the European Union’s mission, adding that this is being put into practice through numerous programs, including Creative Europe and Erasmus.

Soreca added that investing in culture and cooperation can help identify new, innovative ways to address shared challenges, strengthen the economy, and empower professionals.
