A €16.5 million children's hospital was officially opened on Thursday within the University Hospital Centre in Mostar.
The state-of-the-art hospital was opened by Croatian Health Minister Vili Beros and the leader of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ BiH) Dragan Covic.
Croatia's government has not made direct financial support for the construction of the pediatric hospital, however, it had disbursed annual allocations of €5.3 million for several years, and this year, the allocation was doubled to €10.5 million.
The new building of the children's hospital has five floors, and employs 36 doctors. It can accommodate 200 patients with their parents.
