Mihajlo Pavlovic, a student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, emphasised that the demonstration will be entirely peaceful.

“Students will not call for any form of violence at any point. The purpose of the gathering is to remain calm,” he told N1.

Organisers have laid out an ultimatum to the government: remove the so-called “Cacilend” installation from Pionirski Park and call parliamentary elections by 9 pm tonight.

The protest will be centred around Slavija Square, with a main stage being set up there, a smaller stage near the Government of Serbia, and a sound truck positioned at the Law Faculty.

“We ask people to stay within that area,” Pavlovic said.

Professors from the Law and Philology Faculties, including Milo Lompar, are expected to address the crowd. The main stage will host speeches and performances, while the other locations will be used for audio amplification osolely for audio amplificationnly.

Asked about President Aleksandar Vucic’s remarks that students “don’t have to wait until 9 pm,” Pavlovic said the comment reflects the authorities’ disregard for public sentiment.

The protest is scheduled to end at 9 pm, at which point students will symbolically remove their vests. As for potential future actions, Pavlovic stated that decisions would be made collectively by the students and communicated to the public.
