A Day of Mourning was marked in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Bosnia’s Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity, for the killed Serbs in Kosovo, who died after the attack near the Banjska monastery.
On this occasion, a group of young people from Banja Luka walked through the city centre with banners, and at 6 pm a prayer service began in the Church of Christ the Savior.
Candle lighting was organized in several cities across the RS as well.
“From your graves, peonies will emerge, for a future generation,” said a large banner carried by the gathered, more than a hundred of them.
Flags at the institutions were lowered to half-mast, and the meeting was organized by the Cabinet of the RS parliament speaker and the Church Municipality.
