The inauguration marks the completion of a key phase of an investment launched over two years ago. According to BiznisInfo, Tomislavgrad now secures production capacity in an industry that demands high technical knowledge and expertise.

The new facility will produce medical devices for stress electrocardiography, equipment used to monitor heart function during physical exertion. These diagnostic devices are widely utilized in cardiology departments, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions.

Schiller Group established Ergosana d.o.o. Tomislavgrad to develop its manufacturing operations within Bosnia. The project was introduced to the public in July 2024, when the cornerstone was laid at the Bobara site near Tomislavgrad. It was announced at the time that the plant would focus on medical equipment targeting international markets. With construction and equipping now complete, the facility has officially opened.

Beyond assembling and manufacturing equipment, Ergosana plans to house departments for development, quality control, servicing, and marketing in Tomislavgrad. This business model creates employment opportunities across various profiles, including technical specialists and staff trained in medical device development and maintenance. While new hiring has been announced, exact employment figures have not been specified yet.

Schiller is an international company specializing in the development, production, and distribution of medical devices, particularly for cardiopulmonary diagnostics, vital signs monitoring, and emergency medicine. The group employs approximately 1,400 people worldwide, and its product portfolio includes electrocardiographs, exercise testing equipment, patient monitoring systems, and defibrillators, Biznisinfo reports.

The opening of the Ergosana plant introduces high-precision manufacturing, quality control, and specialized skills to the local economy. For Tomislavgrad and the surrounding region, it offers a pathway to develop new industrial competencies and jobs outside traditional manufacturing sectors, while expanding Schiller's international production footprint.
