A fundraising show organized by N1, Nova TV, and the association Pomozi.ba on Tuesday evening raised 1,234,393 Bosnian marks in donations.
Numerous public figures from Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the call centre of these two television stations. All together in one mission – to help the people who lost their homes and family members in devastating floods that struck the country last week.
Over a hundred guests answered numerous calls last night and with great motivation. Citizens called from many parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including areas affected by floods such as Buturovic Polje, Konjic and Jablanica.
Thanks to calls from citizens who donated 2 Bosnian marks (around €1) by calling the number 17039, 251,646 marks (around €129,000) were collected last night.
During the night, numerous donations from companies and individuals were made, which contributed to a total of 1,234,393 marks (some €631,135) collected tonight.
In last night's humanitarian mission, everyone was united and only wanted to collect as many funds as possible for all the people who currently need it the most.
The phone number 17039 will remain active after last night's show and by calling it Bosnian residents can donate 2 marks (roughly €1) per phone call. The number of calls is unlimited, however this number is only for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
