This year's graduation season in Banja Luka was opened Monday by the graduates of the Madrasa "Reis Ibrahim-ef. Maglajlic," who promoted the first generation of graduates of this school.

The students gathered in front of the Ferhat-pasha Mosque and in a solemn parade through the city centre headed to the Banski dvor, where the graduation celebration was organized.

Najwa Sebai was declared the student of this school's generation, who pointed out that now, at the end of her schooling, her feelings are mixed, Nezavisne novine reported.

“On the one hand, joy due to the achieved success and excitement for meeting new challenges in life, and on the other hand, sadness and regret that arise for parting with our madrasa. Although in essence, four years is actually a long time, now, looking back on them, I realized how quickly time actually passed. We have gone through countless moments together, beautiful ones, as well as less beautiful ones. However, it all came down to one moment that we all keep faithfully,” she said.

She will remember her schooling for the positive feelings, cheerfulness and joy that were never lacking in the class.

Choosing a new life path, i.e. choosing a university, is always difficult because there is a fear of making the wrong decision. She noted that the advice of her parents and professors helped her make her decision.

The Republika Srpska (RS) entity Minister Education and Culture Zeljka Stojicic sent the most sincere congratulations to the director of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Muris Spahic and to all teachers and students on the occasion of the promotion of the first generation of graduates of this school.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Culture and on my own behalf, I send my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the promotion of the first generation of graduates of your school and the successful implementation of the curriculum. Your dedication to the education of youth in the spirit of Islamic values and traditions is extremely important for the development of the community and the preservation of cultural identity. Your school’s work contributes to the development of multiculturalism and tolerance in the RS, and this is key to building a society that respects diversity. Let this celebration be an incentive for new successes and development. I sincerely believe that your institution will remain a source of inspiration, successful educational work and progress of all new generations of students in the future,” Stojicic said.
