The Prodigy's Sarajevo concert expected to draw audiences from across the region

Organized by Garden of Dreams with the support of its partners, the concert is expected to attract audiences from across Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

The performance will be the band's only appearance in the region this year and is seen as reaffirming Sarajevo's capacity to host major international music events while making a significant contribution to the city's cultural and tourism sectors.

Sarajevo Canton Minister of Culture and Sports Kenan Magoda said The Prodigy, which has sold more than 25 million records, served as a window to the world through music for generations growing up in the 1980s and 1990s, including during the war.

He said the band's arrival confirms Sarajevo's return to the map of major European concert destinations and stressed that events of this scale generate broader benefits for the city's promotion, tourism, economy, and hospitality sector.

"Culture is not an expense but an investment. Every major event creates new value for our city. I am confident that Grbavica Stadium will be filled to capacity and that thousands of visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and across the region will leave Sarajevo with the image of a city that lives through music, culture, and togetherness," Magoda said, thanking the organizers for their vision and adding that the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Culture and Sports is proud to support projects that strengthen the city's regional and European cultural profile.

Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board President Haris Fazlagic said The Prodigy's concert represents more than a major music event, demonstrating Sarajevo's ability to host world-class productions.

"Events like this are extremely valuable for tourism because they attract thousands of visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and Europe, increase overnight stays, and promote Sarajevo as a city offering outstanding experiences throughout the year," Fazlagic said.

He added that the Tourist Board would continue supporting events that strengthen Sarajevo's international profile as an open, dynamic, and attractive destination for major cultural and music events.

"This is sustainable tourism. Without events like these, cultural, sports, and music festivals, you cannot keep visitors at a destination for long. People come because of events such as The Prodigy at Grbavica," he said.

Garden of Dreams co-founder Renad Celik said the organizing team is ready for one of the most anticipated music events of the summer.

"We are ready and cannot wait for The Prodigy concert at Grbavica. We thank all our partners, sponsors, and supporters because only together can we organize events like this in Sarajevo. We welcome all visitors to our city," Celik said, adding that a limited number of tickets remain available for the north and east stands, as well as the general admission area.

Led by Liam Howlett and Maxim, The Prodigy has enjoyed a career spanning more than three decades, producing hits including Firestarter, Breathe, and Omen. The Grbavica concert is part of Garden of Dreams' efforts to further establish Sarajevo as a leading regional destination for contemporary music and culture. Fan Pit and West Stand tickets have sold out, while tickets for the remaining categories are available through the ulaznica.org platform.
