The trial of the President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, and Director of the RS Official Gazette Milos Lukic for "non-implementation of the decisions of the High Representative" began on Wednesday at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mayors, heads of municipalities, directors of public companies, ministries, deputies, and representatives of numerous veterans’ and other organizations have gathered in front of the Court. They said they came to support Dodik and believe the process is directed against the RS. They will all attend the main hearing.

In October, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated that they pleaded not guilty because both of them said at the hearing that they did not understand the indictment for the criminal offence of failure to execute the decision of the High Representative.

As stated in the indictment, knowingly that High Representative Christian Schmidt made a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on the Non-Enforcement of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, Dodik and Lukic undertook official actions in order to continue the legislative procedure, from July 1 to 9 of this year, in Banja Luka.
