The "Troika" coalition, (consisting of People and Justice Party – NiP; Our Party – NS; Social Democratic Party - SDP), has rejected an offer from Nenad Stevandic, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RSNA), to repeal unconstitutional laws passed by the RSNA in exchange for amnesty for himself, Milorad Dodik, and Radovan Viskovic.
In a statement, Trojka emphasized that there can be no negotiations regarding adherence to the Constitution and laws. “Just as laws apply to citizens, they must also apply to politicians. The request to annul the laws they violated is unacceptable. At the same time, it sends a disgraceful message to citizens that laws do not apply to the ‘privileged,’” the coalition stated.
The parties further criticized certain politicians for believing they were above the Constitution, laws, and institutions. “Eventually, they shed tears in those same institutions when they realize this is not the case and that they understood it all too late,” the statement concluded.
