The Prosecutor's Office believes there is a risk the suspects could flee and repeat similar offences, which is why detention has been requested for the Croatian fans. The Municipal Court in Živinice is expected to decide on the request within 24 hours.
The Hajduk supporters, called Torcida, reportedly arrived as an organised group near Tuzla International Airport and attacked Crvena Zvezda fans returning from Sweden. The assault involved wooden sticks, metal rods, flares, and other objects. Four people sustained serious injuries, including one police officer, while others suffered minor injuries, the Tuzla Cantonal Prosecutor's Office said.
The Prosecutor's Office has released the identities of the 14 individuals in custody. Eleven are Croatian citizens: Josip Kustura (39), Ivan Beokovic (33), Tomislav Kustura (40), Alen Baruncic (22), Marko Jovanovic (25), Petar Vukasovic (45), Pero Vujcic (31), Marin Kristian Mikeli (24), Roko Kalasic (22), Duje Penic (30), and Ivan Vrsalovic (25); and three are from Bosnia and Herzegovina: Marko Primorac (27), Josip Sivric (20), and Andrej Jokic (28), the latter also holding Austrian citizenship.
The Prosecutor's Office has interviewed more than 70 witnesses and participants in the fight, who were subsequently released.
