“The actions of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik are undermining Bosnia and Herzegovina's institutions and threatening its security and stability. Our nation encourages political leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina to engage in constructive and responsible dialogue. We call on our partners in the region to join us in pushing back against this dangerous and destabilizing behavior”, he posted on X.
The move comes in light of the political crisis in the country following the first-instance verdict against the President of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, which prompted the RS National Assembly to adopt a set of laws which include banning the state police and state judiciary from the entity and setting up a parallel justice system.
The Constitutional Court temporarily suspended those laws on Friday. Dodik reacted, saying they will still be implemented in the entity.
