UK Special envoy Karen Pierce meets Bosnia Presidency members to strengthen strategic partnership

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency Chair Zeljko Komsic and Presidency member Denis Becirovic held a high-level meeting with Karen Pierce, the Special Envoy of the United Kingdom for the Western Balkans. The meeting was also attended by Marko Milisav, advisor to Presidency member Zeljka Cvijanovic.

The officials expressed mutual satisfaction regarding the robust and friendly relations between the two nations, highlighting a period of intensive political dialogue and substantive cooperation. Key areas of focus included defense and economic collaboration, with both parties signaling an intent to expand initiatives into energy, infrastructure, and regional connectivity.
Ambassador Pierce reaffirmed the United Kingdom's steadfast support for the reform and integration processes within Bosnia. This support remains a vital component of a broader strategic approach to stabilizing the Western Balkans, which serves as a foundation for long-term European security.
During the session, the interlocutors addressed the following critical internal issues:
- The resolution of state property status.
- The sustainability of the Public Radio-Television System of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Progress toward fulfilling European Union membership conditions.
The Special Envoy reiterated the UK’s commitment to the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its European perspective, particularly through active engagement within the Berlin Process. Komsic and Becirovic extended their gratitude for the United Kingdom's continuous support and the personal commitment shown by Special Envoy Pierce in fostering bilateral cooperation.
