United Media and the city of Athens hosted two semi-final jury rounds for the Emmy award on Wednesday.

The International Academy of TV Arts and Science holds semi-final rounds in more than 25 locations every summer from June to September. The semi-final stage is crucial to choosing candidates for awards and presents an opportunity to network for both hosts and jury members who are chosen by the academy from the TV and film industries.

This was the second year in a row that United Media was invited to take part in selecting nominees in the semi-final stage.

United Media CEO Aleksandra Subotic said that being part of the jury for the Emmy is a huge success. We at United Media appreciate being recognized as important in this industry and that confirms our place on the media scene, she said.

According to Subotic, United Media has produced more than 40 series and 7 movies over the past few years, content which has been recognized on the international scene. We have been present at prestigious international film festivals, she said and recalled that one of the United Media series won an award in Cannes and Locarno.

She said that United Media produced series are present in more than 50 countries with high viewer ratings.
