The American Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina addressed the authorities on Twitter on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the massacre of 114 persons of Bosniak and Croat ethnicity in Uborak, Sutina and Zalik, urging them to bring the perpetrators of these crimes to justice.
“Accepting the truth about what happened during the 1992-1995 war and honoring all civilian victims is the first step toward genuine reconciliation and building an inclusive future for all BiH citizens. It has been 31 years since the massacres of civilians at Uborak, Sutina, and Zalik. The U.S. government urges local authorities to bring all the perpetrators of these horrific crimes to justice to provide the bereaved families with some peace and closure,” the Embassy tweeted.
