Some 200 veterans in Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity gathered in front of the RS National Assembly demanding a session on their status, saying they will not leave until the institution’s top officials address them.
They also expressed dissatisfaction over the invitations to the leaders of the main Bosniak and Bosnian Croat parties in the country, Bakir Izetbegovic and Dragan Covic, to speak at the session on Tuesday.
Some of the veterans yelled insults at the ministers and MPs entering the building, both those from the ruling coalition and from the opposition. They also expressed their disapproval when Covic arrived.
Izetbegovic declined the invitation and will not speak at the session.
