Nebojsa Vukanovic, leader of the "List for Justice and Order," has filed criminal charges against Nenad Stevandic, leader of the United Srpska party and President of the RS National Assembly, accusing him of influence peddling, accepting bribes, and organized crime.
Vukanovic highlighted allegations that Sasa Markovic, a key figure in the “corona procurement” scandal, testified to delivering 250,000 KM to United Srpska as a bribe related to pandemic supplies. Stevandic denied these claims, stating that Markovic never visited the party's offices, and added that surveillance footage, which could disprove the accusations, has been ignored by prosecutors.
The charges also relate to alleged nepotism and illegal employment practices in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. Vukanovic claims Stevandic hired candidates aligned with United Srpska and used his influence to employ the son of a Supreme Court judge to sway legal decisions.
Additionally, Vukanovic filed charges against public enterprise directors in Trebinje, accusing them of hiring over 100 people unlawfully. He criticized the allocation of funds, highlighting that significant resources are spent on salaries while essential services like healthcare receive minimal support.
Vukanovic and his colleague Lazar Radan also expressed concerns over the integrity of the upcoming elections, accusing SNSD members of being appointed as heads of polling stations, which they believe will bias the electoral process.
