There are indications that migrants did not cause the fire in Lipa Camp on December 23, which destroyed several tents set by the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM), the Prime Minister of Bosnia's Una-Sana Canton (USK) Mustafa Ruznic said Friday.
“I hope the cantonal Prosecution will have the courage to determine who did it,” Ruznic said.
Looking for answers from Bosnia's Defence Minister Selmo Cikotic and the IOM, Ruznic said there are those on BiH who want the Bira and some other camps to reopen where rents are high.
He told the FTV the citizens of Una-Sana Canton have the most right to talk about this topic because they bear the greatest burden of the migrant crisis, adding that the state authorities left them to fend for themselves.
The Head of the IOM Mision to Bosnia, Peter Van der Auweraer, said on December 23 that migrants caused the fire which destroyed the Lipa Camp.
