Weather service issues red warning for parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina has been affected by the fourth heat wave this summer, and in the coming days the country will see air temperatures of more than 40 degrees Celsius.

According to the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH, Monday will be sunny and extremely warm with a maximum air temperature of 32 to 37 degrees, while in the south it will reach up to 40 degrees.
The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH (FHMZ) has issued an orange warning that will be in effect until August 15th, due to expected extremely high temperatures that will exceed 40 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country.
Due to extremely high temperatures, the EU Meteoalarm has issued a warning for parts of Bosnia and the region, while a red weather alert has been activated for south of Bosnia.

The following warning has been issued today for the Mostar and Trebinje regions, where temperatures are expected to reach 41 and 40 degrees, respectively:
"Take necessary precautions for your safety, extremely high temperatures are expected. Protect yourself and help vulnerable people. Follow the advice of the authorities. Expect possible infrastructure failures."
