The Novi Grad Police Department received the information regarding the murder of 58-year-old S.J. from Sarajevo, on Tuesday evening, at around 3:25 am.

The doctor of the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance of Canton Sarajevo confirmed the death. The on-site investigation, led by the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, was carried out by police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Police Directorate.

The body of the deceased was transported to the “Bare” prosecutor's office, where an autopsy will be performed by order of the prosecutor. His wife Dz.J., born in 1976 in Sarajevo, where she lives, was brought to official premises where she will be questioned during the day.

Police officers are working on elucidating and documenting the crime, Sarajevo Canton’s Interior Ministry said.
