After the cancellation of the base in Tuzla, the low-cost airline Wizz Air decided to reduce the flight schedule to three airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This winter, the Hungarian carrier will cancel one line each from Sarajevo and Tuzla, and two from Banja Luka.
According to the Ex-Yu Aviation News web portal, the Bosnian capital will be left without a direct flight to Abu Dhabi this winter. Wizz Air currently operates seven weekly flights between Sarajevo and the UAE, but these will be discontinued from October 28. The company is expected to resume flights in the spring.
Banja Luka will have two fewer lines. From August 28, there will be no more traffic to Stockholm Skavsta. The Banja Luka-Hamburg line is also cancelled on October 28.
Tuzla airport will not be spared either. Despite the fact that at the end of July the company announced the cancellation of lines to eleven destinations, one more will join the list – Frankfurt Hahn.
The last departure on this route is scheduled for October 30.
