Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prime Minister Nermin Niksic met today at the headquarters of the Federation Government in Sarajevo with a delegation from the World Trade Center Association (WTCA), led by Robin van Puyenbroeck, WTCA Executive Director for Business Development.

The WTCA delegation thanked Prime Minister Niksic for the opportunity to present this significant investment project, which they plan to introduce to the public tomorrow. They informed the prime minister that the project is a multifunctional business and residential complex that will operate under the WTC license, the same as the center in New York.

Prime Minister Niksic emphasized the commitment of the Federation Government to creating a favorable environment for investments that create jobs and stimulate the development of the Bosnian economy. He expressed satisfaction that the delegation decided to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina and hoped for the project's prompt realization.

“This is an important investment and development project. It sends a message to the entire community, both locally and globally, that Sarajevo offers a secure and favorable legal environment for investment,” Niksic said.

According to the guests, WTC Sarajevo will be the first in the region and will serve as an important business hub for bringing together and facilitating cooperation between companies in different industries. In this way, it will contribute to investment growth in Bosnia and Herzegovina and bolster the country's export economy. It will also aid economic development and ultimately ensure Bosnia and Herzegovina’s integration into the global economic system.

They added that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the 89th member of the WTCA, which has a unique network of distinguished businesspeople worldwide, with 327 companies owning the license and representing a potential market for Bosnian companies.

The WTCA delegation also included Edin Sefo, director of MDC d.o.o. Sarajevo, the first company in the region to receive a full World Trade Center (WTC) license at the recent WTCA annual forum, according to a statement from the Federation Government Public Relations Office.
