Zenica citizens protest against government inaction

The protest took the form of a peaceful, thematic march with a clear message for the FBiH government, which protesters claim has ignored the demands of thousands of Zenica residents.

“The government didn’t even bother to respond!” the organizers stated.

Citizens' demands:

Inflation – Protesters accuse the government of failing to curb skyrocketing prices, implementing only superficial changes and decrees instead of real economic solutions.
Donja Jablanica Tragedy – Demonstrators argue that the disaster in Donja Jablanica is not just a tragedy but also a crime that continues to be covered up.

“The government’s strategy is to hope there won’t be heavy rainfall and that people will simply forget if they stay silent. But we will meet them in the streets,” the protesters vowed.
Previously, 'Zenica Rises' had organized multiple protests, signaling ongoing dissatisfaction with government policies and responses.
