Bosnia’s Zrinjski Football Club beat Velez FC 1:0 in the final of the BiH Cup at the Bilino Polje stadium in Zenica, thus confirming their dominance by winning the double crown this season.
Zrinjski took the lead at the very beginning of the second half. After a long tackle, Josip Corluka passed the ball from the right and Mario Cuze hit the near corner of Osman Hadzikic with a volley kick for the great celebration of “Plemici,” as the Club’s supporters are called affectionately and their most ardent Ultras fans.
After 15 years of waiting, Zrinjski won the BiH Cup, after beating Sloboda last time.
Velez FC remains with only one title in this competition, won last year against Sarajevo FC, while previously, in the former Yugoslavia, they won the Marshal Tito Cup trophy twice.
