The mayor of Teslic and leader of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS), Milan Milicevic, and the president of the Teslic City Assembly, Mehmed Dubravac, are suspected of having, from October 2024 to May 22 of this year, according to prior agreement aimed at changing the assembly majority, given 80,000 BAM to an intermediary on three occasions. This money was supposed to be handed over to the councilor Mesa Jasarevic.

This information was released by the Special Department of the Republika Srpska Public Prosecutor's Office, explaining why Milicevic, Dubravac, and Jasarevic were detained.
“There is reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of accepting a bribe from Article 319, Paragraph 1, and influence peddling from Article 321, Paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code of RS,” stated the Prosecutor’s Office. Milicevic and Dubravac are accused of, from October 2024 to May 22 of this year, in agreement with the goal of changing the assembly majority, giving the intermediary 80,000 BAM on three occasions, which he was supposed to deliver to Jasarevic. They are also suspected of, in their official capacities as councilors, contrary to the political beliefs of their party, voting for the proposals of the assembly majority, and later establishing contact with Jasarevic and giving him a total of 250,000 BAM, in order for him to leave his political option and vote according to the instructions of the accused, the Prosecutor’s Office added.
The suspects will be interviewed by the Republika Srpska public prosecutor, after which a decision will be made whether to submit a proposal for detention to the District Court.
