This information was announced in the Facebook group Justice for Dzenan Memic. It was explained that the family of the late young man, following the suspension of the investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Dalida Burzic and other suspects in this case, submitted an official request for a meeting with EU institutions.
They stated that the request was sent in order to discuss the state of the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"And to point out specific failures in handling the murder case of our Dzenan. In this regard, we have been informed that on June 11, 2025, we will be received by Mr. Luigi Soreca, the Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the EU Special Representative in BiH," they stated.

They emphasized that, at this meeting, they will once again present the facts and point to systemic obstructions in the judicial system that, for years now, they say have been aimed at preventing the truth about Dzenan’s murder from being revealed and those responsible from being prosecuted.
"We thank the EU Delegation for being willing to hear us. Our fight continues — with dignity and perseverance," said the family of the deceased young man, Dženan Memić.
The case of Dzenan Memic has attracted significant public attention and raised serious concerns about trust in the judicial system.
Memic, a 21-year-old man, sustained severe injuries on February 8, 2016, in Velika Aleja in Ilidza, and died seven days later. The case was initially classified as a traffic accident, with a father and son, Bekrija and Ljubo Seferovic, accused of causing it.

However, after three trials, including before the Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH, the Seferovics were acquitted of all charges, and suspicions shifted toward a possible murder and cover-up of evidence.
The State Prosecutor’s Office of BiH took over the case in 2019, focusing on evidence concealment and obstruction of the investigation. Those indicted included Alisa Ramic (formerly Mutap), Dzenan’s ex-girlfriend; her father Zijad Mutap; former head of traffic investigations Hasan Dupovac; police officer Josip Baric; and hotel receptionist Muamer Ozegovic. The charges included organized crime, giving false statements, and destroying evidence.
The case remains a symbol of the fight for justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with numerous protests and initiatives calling for transparency and accountability in the work of judicial institutions.
