Students from the region of the former Yugoslavia, participants of the International Conference "Processing of the Genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina", visited the Srebrenica and Potocari Memorial Center.

 Mark Harman, a former International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia's (ICTY) prosecutor, visited the Potocari Memorial Center together with the students from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia. The students attended a lecture about the Srebrenica genocide and meet with the Mothers of Srebrenica and Zepa Enclaves Association.

“I am here to pay tribute to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide,” said Harman, adding that the genocide cannot be denied. The genocide must be acknowledged so it would not happen again.

Head of the Association of the Mother of the Srebrenica and Zepa Munira Subasic said that it is very important that the youth came to hear the truth and to hear from the important people who made the verdicts about everything that took place in this region.

The International Conference “Processing of the Genocide in Bosnia” was held in Sarajevo during the past two days. It was organized by the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide in cooperation with the Mothers of the Srebrenica and Zepa Enclaves, with the participation of the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT), a legal successor the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).  

The conference gathered a large number of students of law from the former Yugoslavia in order to inform them of the evidence and arguments and familiarize them with the direct participants in the Hague processes, so they could face the truth about the genocide in Bosnia.
