Several hundred drivers had blocked a loop at the very entrance to Banjaluka, protesting the high petrol prices, said N1’s Snezana Mitrovic.

“Several hundred vehicles are present and the traffic jam is huge. Members of the Republika Srpska entity’s Interior Ministry are also present at the scene,” Mitrovic said.

Due to the third petrol price increase this year, Bosnian drivers are holding daily one-hour protests in cities across Bosnia.

The RS Interior Ministry appealed to the citizens to express their discontent in a legally prescribed manner and to respect the traffic laws and regulations.
