German authorities extradited one Milorad Obradovic Stiven to Bosnia and Herzegovina suspected of participating in the unlawful deprivation of liberty and torture of some 120 Bosniak civilians in Prijedor Municipality.
Obradovic, who is originally from Prijedor, North-Western Bosnia, was located and identified in Munich last year.
He is a suspect under investigation of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and is suspected of participating in the unlawful deprivation of liberty and torture of around 120 Bosniak civilians in Miska Glava, Prijedor Municipality in July 1992. The Bosniaks were subsequently captured, shot and killed at the site of Kipe – Ljubija, near Prijedor.
He is also suspected of personally and directly shooting at the stadium belonging to ‘Rudar’ football club, killing three Bosniak civilians.
Bosnia’s Prosecutor’s Office searched for Obradovic for months and all the information hinted that he could be residing in Germany.
So far, the Prosecutor’s Office activated and issued dozens of international warrants for war crimes suspects who allegedly committed crimes throughout Bosnia, for which there is information that they are located abroad.
