Serbian police chief denies helping migrants cross borders

“The claims that Serbia is directing migrants to neighbouring countries are absolutely incorrect,” Bozovic said in a written statement, adding that police officers patrolling the Drina river border with Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) stopped a boat with seven migrants trying to cross the border illegally.  

The Serbian Border Police chief’s statement comes after BiH Una-Sana Canton Internal Affairs Minister Anel Ramic said the Serbian police showed illegal migrants how to cross into Bosnia.
