Zoran Zaev and Boyko Borissov Persons of the Year

The jury of the Independent Agency for the Selection of Best Managers has named Macedonia’s PM, Zoran Zaev and Bulgaria’s PM, Boyko Borissov, Persons of the Year at a ceremony in Sarajevo on Thursday.

The UK Ambassador to Bosnia, Edward Ferguson, was named best ambassador of the year, while Siegfried Nagl of the Austrian CITY of Graz was named the best mayor.

The best ministers of 2018 are, according to the jury, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and the country's Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, Croatia’s Finance Minister, Zdravko Maric, and Bosnia’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Mirko Sarovic.

Member of Azerbaijan’s Parliament Javanshir Feyziyev was named best parliamentarian.

A popular Balkan singer, Fahreta Zivojinovic, better known as ‘Lepa Brena’, received a “Life Achievement Award” for her work in music and business.

Montenegrin actor Milutin Mimo Karadzic was named best actor, while Bosnia’s soccer star Edin Dzeko was named best athlete.

Bosnian politician Bogic Bogicevic also received a Life Achievement Award.

N1 was also named the best TV channel at the ceremony, while the director of its Bosnian office, Amir Zukic, was named best journalist and editor.
