Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has cut his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina short and will return to Athens where a large forest fire rages near the Greek capital, a source from the Greek government said.
The Greek Prime Minister, who is in Mostar, Southern Bosnia, Monday, where he met with Bosnia’s Council of Ministers Chairman, Denis Zvizdic, is forced to cut his visit to Bosnia short due to the emergency situation in his country.
Greek authorities have askedthe the locals from coastal regions near Athens to leave their homes as forest fires rage, closing one of the busiest Greek highways and sending plumes of smoke over the capital, Reuters reports.
