All police activities carried out in Banja Luka on Tuesday were in line with the law, said the Interior Ministry of Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity Republika Srpska (RS) in response to the European Union Special Representative, who expressed concern over the situation in that city.
“We have asked the RS Ministry of Interior for an immediate explanation of the ongoing arrest of different persons associated with the ‘Justice for David’ movement, including Davor Dragicevic as well as opposition politicians,” said the EU Delegation and the Office of the EU Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The EU's office said it was closely following the developments in Banja Luka, calling on everyone “to stay calm and refrain from violence.” It reiterated strong support of EU Special Representative Lar-Gunnar Wigemark and all EU member states’ ambassadors to “tireless efforts” of Davor Dragicevic and Muriz Memic, two men seeking the justice for the deaths of their sons.
The Ministry “thanked” the EU Delegation for interest in work of this institution and advised it to “get informed before presenting any stances in public.”

All activities the RS Ministry of Interior took were done at the order of the District Prosecutor's Office of Banja Luka, said the Ministry's statement.
The RS institution also said in response to the EU's office that the police apprehended Davor Dragicevic after they unsuccessfully tried on several occasions to summon him for interrogation, in relation with an earlier case assessed as a threat to security.
