Although the winter in Bosnia and Herzegovina is accompanied by extremely low temperatures which are nearly consistent throughout the period, the heavy snowfall in the country also provides breathtaking scenery of both untamed wildernesses as well as charming towns covered in snow.
With numerous valleys and mountains higher than 2,300 metres, which include the central Dinaric Alps, the country’s landscape during the months of December, January and February turns into an image as described in fairytales.
