The City of Sarajevo is ready to host thousands of athletes, delegation members, guests and foreign tourists visiting the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2019, which will be held February 9 to 16, said Abdulah Skaka, the Sarajevo Mayor, accompanied by many heads of institutions, public enterprises and companies involved in the organisation of this event.
"The EYOF is not my personal project, and only together we can succeed and create memories for future generations," Skaka said.
He noted that the cleaning operation of Sarajevo aims to gather all those who want to be part of this great project.
"We want to send a message that we didn’t forget how to organise great events, and we want to remember 2019 as a special year," the mayor concluded.
The EYOF 2019 will gather several thousand athletes, nearly 750 delegation members from 46 European countries and more than 150 accredited press teams and thousands of volunteers from the entire country.
