Lining up of the Chetnik movement members from Bosnia and Serbia in the eastern town of Visegrad pose a serious threat to peace and stability, and is particularly disturbing for the Bosniak returnees in that part of the country, said Sefik Dzaferovic, the Bosniak member of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency.
Dzaferovic’s statement came as a reaction on a Sunday event that the Ravna Gora Chetnik movement’s followers and supporters said was a commemoration of their late leader Draza Mihailovic.
“Uncle Draza proved with his life he was a true patriot of his people and his homeland, and marking this anniversary is extremely important for the Ravna Gora movement,” Dusan Sladojevic, the movement’s top representative, said at the Visegrad event.
The manifestation triggered the reaction of the representatives of the Bosniak victims’ associations and some political parties. They all expect competent institutions to react.

Although the Presidency was among the institution that the victims’ association representative mentioned as one of those to blame for the event being held uninterruptedly, the Presidency member also asked for an urgent reaction of the law enforcement agencies.
“Lining up of the Chetniks in a military formation and threatening with “a hell and bloody Drina (river)” which could be heard undoubtedly pose a criminal act of causing the ethnic-based and religious hatred. Because of that, I demand all competent institutions to approach the processing of this criminal act without any calculations,” said Dzaferovic.
The Presidency member also expects the Serb representatives in Bosnia to declare on this event.
