A 'mountain eye' hidden between peaks of Bosnian 'Swiss Alps'

Nested between the peaks of the central Bosnia’s Mountain Vranica, in a picturesque surrounding at 1,636-meter altitude lies hidden the Lake Prokosko, a glacial lake that the many call ‘a mountain eye.’

Rich in many endemic species of flora and fauna, the lake and the stunning views of the area around it were declared a park of nature in the last century, attracting many nature lovers throughout the year.

Due to its scenic views, Mt. Vranica is often dubbed as ‘Swiss Alps’ of Bosnia.
