Bosnian court seizes Mamic's travel documents

He will also have to report once in a week to a police station, the nearest to his current place of residence.

Addressing the media in Sarajevo, where he was escorted on Tuesday to attend a hearing on Croatia's extradition request, Mamic said this was a politically motivated process against him. He also said he refused the extradition.

Zdravko Mamic, his brother Zoran, former Dinamo director Damir Vrbanovic and tax official Milan Pernar have been found guilty by the Osijek County Court, of syphoning about 116 million kuna (€15.7 million) from Dinamo and defrauding the state budget of about 12.2 million kuna (€1.6 million) in unpaid taxes and surtaxes.

Days before the sentencing, Mamic had fled to Bosnia and Herzegovina and moved permanently to the Catholic pilgrimage town of Medjugorje where he openly lives today. As a dual citizen of Croatia and Bosnia, he successfully fought against Croatia's extradition request which was rejected.
