The Municipal Council of Sokolac, near the capital, has declared Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic an honorary citizen on Monday.
Sokolac Mayor Milovan Bjelica said that Vucic’s dedication to Republika Srpska (RS, the Serb-dominated semi-autonomous entity within Bosnia) and to the Serb people can be seen in all East Sarajevo municipalities.
“The RS has good cooperation with institutions of the Republic of Serbia. The municipal councilors, as well as all citizens of the Sarajevo-Romanija region, are thankful for the help coming from Serbia’s leadership, which they appreciate and they respect the efforts to improve the living conditions of all citizens in this area,” he said.
