Kolasinac and Ozil left out of Arsenal squad for upcoming game with Newcastle

The reason is a police investigation into a recent incident they were involved in.

Two unknown carjackers had attacked Mesut Ozil with knives in London, but his teammate Kolasinac managed to fight them off with bare hands, according to The Sun.

Ozil ran into a nearby Turkish restaurant and alerted the staff. As staff ran out, the attackers fled. Neither Ozil nor Kolasinac were harmed. Kolasinac was born in Germany to Bosniak parents.

Kolasinac’s act was praised as heroic, but players were warned not to behave that way in such situations.
