Hollywood star Tim Roth was awarded the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Tuesday evening in presence of over 3,000 guests of the Sarajevo Film Festival.

The award was handed to Roth at the Open Air Cinema, one of the most popular screening sites during the event.

“This is really cool! Thanks, guys, you're amazing!,” said the British-born actor, as he took a ‘selfie’ with the audience.

Delivering a brief speech, Roth said he hoped to be back to the festival again.

Roth arrived in Sarajevo on Tuesday and, prior to the award ceremony, he met the fans in front of the National Theatre, where he handed out autographs and took pictures.

“The wildness of the festival, everything is incredible. This is insane, I love this!,” Roth told N1's reporter.

Along with French actress Isabelle Huppert, Mexican film director Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu and Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski, Roth is one of the recipients of the 2019 Honorary Heart of Sarajevo.

Jubilee edition of the 25th Sarajevo Film Festival will end on Friday, August 23.
