Bosnia did not record any new departures of its citizens to foreign battlegrounds thanks to the 2014 law prohibiting departures and participation in foreign battlegrounds, Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak said in Budapest during a two-day conference “Prevention od radicalisation and terrorism: Regional policy's response and risk reduction.”

  The conference was organised by the United Nations Organisation and Hungarian Foreign Ministry ad Crnadak, his Hungarian counterpart Peter Sijarti and UN's counter-terrorism undersecretary Vladimir Voronko had the pleasure to open it.

Bosnia's Crnadak noted that Bosnia is permanently determined to be a partner in the fight against terrorism and that all its State-level institutions are focused on this goal, as well as institutions from the Republika Srpska and Federation entities.

He confirmed Bosnia's resolve to remain a member of the Global Coalition the Fight Against ISIS, noting that prevention of youth radicalisation is key to solving the issue of terrorism.

After the official ceremony, Crnadak met with UN's Vladimir Voronkov and conveyed Bosnia's determination to contribute to the fight against terrorism and violent radicalisation within the UN and its organisations.

He also confirmed that Bosnia will take part in the historic high-level event called “Counter-terrorism week,” which will be held in New York for the first time, next summer.
