Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency sent the ‘Reform Programme’ to the alliance which, according to Bosnian Serb opposition MP’s, paved the way for the country’s NATO membership.

They accused the Serb member of the Presidency, Milorad Dodik, as well as his Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), of betraying Serb interests.

As the RS Interior Minister and SNSD member Dragan Lukac was speaking, Drasko Stanivukovic, a member of the opposition Party of Democratic Progress (PDP), made loud comments.

The two then got into a heated argument, which culminated with Lukac challenging Stanivukovic to approach him.

Stanivukovic did so, and Lukac slapped him.

NATO remains unpopular with Serbs in both Serbia and Bosnia's Serb-majority semi-autonomous entity of Republika Srpska (RS) since the alliance launched airstrikes against the Bosnian Serbs during the 1992-95 Bosnian war and against the Serbian military in 1999 during the conflict between Belgrade and ethnic Albanians in Kosovo.
