The European Union donated on Thursday some € 900,000 worth of protective masks, ECG devices and other medical equipment which will be distributed to institutions throughout Bosnia.

The Head of EU Delegation and the EU Special Representative in the country, Ambassador Johann Sattler, said that “over 30 tons of protective equipment and 40 ECG devices were donated today, for institutions in all parts of Bosnia. It is important that we have enough supplies. The total value of the donation is nearly €900,000. Equipment stocks are important because we do not know what autumn and winter will bring and it's uncertain how long the crisis will last.”

“I'm thankful to all the medical professionals in Bosnia and the EU for this aid and the support to go through the complex process of equipment procurement. The European Commission os the biggest donor in Bosnia and hardly anyone can measure up to that,” Tegeltija concluded.
